This work has to be done in community and partnership.
We know that partnership in this space is mandatory as the work is complex and multiple perspectives and spheres of influence are essential. To this end, our team has worked with many national partners, including the Preeclampsia Foundation, Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), 4Kira4Moms, The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Black Mamas Matter Alliance, National Birth Equity Collaborative, Sister Song Women of Color Reproductive Justice Health Collective, National Healthy Start Association, the March of Dimes, Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute, Postpartum Pelvic Health Advocates, Postpartum Support International, La Leche League International, City MatCH, Zero to Three, MomsRising, and others. Within North Carolina, collaborations include UNC Healthcare, the NC Division of Public Health, the NC DPH Women’s Health Branch, CItyGate Dream Center, Momma’s Village in Fayetteville, and 4Moms2Be and Mahogany Milk in Greensboro.
To lift up the voices of moms from all walks of life, we share images, blogs, and videos, all posted here with the permission. We want to offer the unique perspectives of the amazing individuals who share their stories, suggestions and lives. However, 4th Trimester Project sharing of content does not indicate endorsement of that message or promotion of the group, individual, practice, or product. We encourage women to talk with a trusted health provider to individualized medical information that is found online.
