This Module is intended to be a postpartum education and training for people who serve pregnant and new families to learn about quality care and resources available.
Module audience is designed for health professionals, public health workers, social and community workers, and healthcare and clinic teams to understand status of maternal health – anyone that serves pregnant and new families to know about quality care and resources available.
This 1-hour training includes sections that cover:
- Section 1: Maternal Health Mortality and Morbidity with Dr. Alison Stuebe
- Section 2: Person-Centered, Respectful Care with Kimberly Harper
- Section 3: Redesigning Postpartum Care in Clinic, Communities, and Home with Dr. Sarah Verbiest and Dr. Kristin Tully
- Final: Information about the latest postpartum tools and resources available.
Nursing Contact Hours: 1.0 Nursing Contact Hours will be provided for select education offerings. To receive contact hours, you must attend the entire live session and complete the evaluation. UNC Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Credits are available via Thinkific Platform. You will be required to create a free login to receive the credits.
