Feeling Touched Out During COVID, by Kyla Carlos

I’M CURRENTLY FEELING TOUCHED OUT ESPECIALLY DURING COVID-19, HERE’S WHY…
I’m everyone’s go-to person I’m the nurse, teacher, cook, housekeeper, entertainer, and the list could go on! We really can’t do much outside of the home & while I’m an active & creative mom (thanks to my daycare & preschool teacher experience) with the world in this state a girl is running out of ideas for a 2, 3, and 12 y/o. If you’re a mom you know exactly what I’m talking about. I also do a lot of skin to skin with the boys because they’re still nursing and it’s awesome bonding. I truly treasure the moments I share with all my children through physical touch, physical touch is extremely important for children’s development so I oftentimes push my discomfort to the side for their benefit.

If you want to know how I cope & stay sane head over to my blog to read the rest!

Welcome to NewMomHealth.com™

We envision a world where every woman receives the social, emotional, physical, and economic support she needs to successfully transition through the postpartum period and into her new identity and life as a mother. Health care systems, businesses, and society should value and respect women not only for what they bring to families, communities, and nations but also for who they are in and of themselves.
