Connecting with Mamas

Having a baby changes almost everything – including relationships. Meeting and connecting with other new parents and people that have similar situations can be helpful. Whether you are looking to meet parents in your community, find new parents online, or learn about ways to connect with people and organizations locally or nationally, this section will share an overview to get you started.

Be very careful about taking medical advice from online sources that are not connected to a health care provider/system and monitored by a health care professional. The research on postpartum health and recovery is far from complete, so it makes sense that people look for information online. But you should always check with a health care provider before taking action. Check here for information to use in those conversations.

Here are some tips for finding and creating a postpartum 'village' of support.

Welcome to NewMomHealth.com™

We envision a world where every woman receives the social, emotional, physical, and economic support she needs to successfully transition through the postpartum period and into her new identity and life as a mother. Health care systems, businesses, and society should value and respect women not only for what they bring to families, communities, and nations but also for who they are in and of themselves.
