Your Hormones

Families come together in many different and beautiful ways. We know that there is an urgent need for more information for people who have a uterus and give birth but may not identify as a woman or mother. We strongly believe that all new parents need and deserve respect, support and encouragement no matter what pronouns they use.

We are committed to working with specialists to increase the content on our site for you. Following the birth of a child a person experiences many major hormonal changes. The way these changes feel may be very different based on each person. Know that this is all common and that how you feel matters. These feelings might be even more intense for transgender and non-binary people who are likely already dealing with health care providers and others who may not be prepared to help as well as they should. Talk to someone you trust to help you get through these changes. If you have a therapist or support person you talk to make some appointments while you are pregnant so that they are there for you when you need it most. We will continue to learn and build the resources we have available for you.

Welcome to NewMomHealth.com™

We envision a world where every woman receives the social, emotional, physical, and economic support she needs to successfully transition through the postpartum period and into her new identity and life as a mother. Health care systems, businesses, and society should value and respect women not only for what they bring to families, communities, and nations but also for who they are in and of themselves.
